Get your earplugs ready – New Moon is readying its theatrical assault. But the soundtrack has been gaining a lot of attention courtesy of its stellar musical line-up, and it's likely about to get more spotlight activity thanks to a mini-tour that's taking place at various Hot Topic stores across the country. The latest band to sign on to perform? Death Cab For Cutie.
Things kick off this Friday at the Hot Topic at Hollywood & Highland, where Death Cab will perform along with Band of Skulls, Sea Wolf, and Anya Marina. There will also be a Q&A session with cast members Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Jamie Campbell Bower, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Chaske Spencer, and Bronson Pelletier.
From there, the tour hits Chicago, Philly, Minneapolis, Boston, Seattle, and wraps up November 14th in Salt Lake City.
The Hollywood date appears to be the most performance and cast-heavy, as the remaining dates continue on with just a couple bands and castmates apiece. Regardless, if you live in any of the above cities, chances are your local mall is about to get really, really squealy – even without Edward, Jacob and Bella in attendance.

In what's likely a surprise to no one, the cobbled-together footage of Michael Jackson's rehearsals for his then pending tour - released by Sony as a docu-film called This Is It - was a bit hit this weekend, bringing in $110 million worldwide in just five days. It was also number one at this weekend's box office. The combination of the pic's two wins has caused Sony to extend its theatrical release past the originally slated two-week run, now giving viewers the chance to see it through Thanksgiving.
Dashboard Confessionals Cancels Tour
Dashboard Confessional was set to go on tour in support of their new disc, dropping November 10th, but the band released a statement on their official site late last week explaining that they had to cancel. "Due to a family situation that is beyond our control, we have to cancel our upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File," the band explains, however they're still playing their November 7th date with the Louisville Orchestra.
