I don't know but it sounds kind of creepy. I have a big fear of ghosts. I'd die if I see them. I always pray to god.

I love these stories about ghosts! I would love to see one. Now, I'm not saying that I wouldn't be afraid at first - but think about it, IF they exist, they can't hurt you! So cool to see someone from "the other side" LOL.

There is simply no reason to believe in ghosts. Absolutely NONE of these stories ever stands up to any serious investigation. The "Ghost Hunters" and "paranormal researchers" are so unscientific as to be laughable. And these trance mediums and so forth are a lot of heartless con artists telling people they can allow them to talk to deceased loved ones..America is apparently the most superstitious country on earth outside of Haiti.

Going towards Chiefland, Florida, on the side of the road where for miles was nothing but woods, my Mother-in-law all of a sudden say's to me, "look at that woman on the side of the highway!" For the next few miles, even though the side of the road was clear, I saw nothing. She described the woman as a black woman carrying a basket and had on an apron and a kerchief tied around her head like they used to do in olden times. She was just running and skipping along like she was happy. At one point she lost sight of her and then again she said, "no waiot, there she is again." I kind of wished I could have seen her. I believe when people see things like that, most of the time that was a place in or around where they might have lost thier lives.

There's a road in NC about 15 min. from me many years ago a girls car broke down and she was trying to push it uphill to get it off the road but she was hit and killed. so now on that sec. of road you can put your car in Neutral and your car will continue to go up hill like it's being pushed. I Have tried it cause I didn't believe it. But found out it does happen.

In the country where I live there is a section of highway road that appears to be going downhill, but if you are driving in that direction and stop your car on the shoulder of the road and put it in nuetral, your car will start to roll backwards going back up the road . It has to be some optical illusion but I personally have tried it and it will actually roll uphill or what appears to be up hill.

Well, my sister in law who lives in Eastern Canada, had to move out of her home in Perth Andover New Brunswick. She and her husband bought a house they didn't know was haunted. They heard kitchen cabinet doors slam in the night and a list of things that I don't have room to type here. The night the ghost SHOVED her youngest son into her bedroom they sold it. They later found out that a young man was murdered inside that house, but the realtors did not tell them... TRUE STORY.

I live in Tennessee, but am from central Fl. I have been to Spook hill a couple of times. Yes it is a hill, not just an appearance, and when you stop, it does pull your vehicle back upwards. Too cool. Also, near the Cheifland area someone mentioned, where a old time dressed lady walks (or skips) on the highway, is the town of Micanopy, known to have this woman seen near the road many times. This area was thick with slaves, and has an old movie (or like documentary) of some slave families there. There are original homes and stuctures there that you can tour where these people lived and died as slaves. I truely believe in spirits that are still hanging around, for whatever reason, that have not crossed over.

A car that appears to roll up hill is an optical illusion. Yes, the car is rolling, but only because the slope of the road is actually downward. The optical illusion that the road is an upward hill is created by the embankments, the horizon, and surrounding topography. We have a road like that in Pickens County SC. It will mess with your mind the first time someone takes you there and tells you to stop, put it in neutral, and take your foot off the brake. You start moving forward and it looks and feels like you are rolling up a hill. Most people can't figure out why it is happening and have to be told it is an optical illusion.
