Someone took two of my favorite things -- Sideshow and Legendary Wrestlers -- and put them together in the same show. This is the cheeseburger, the peanut butter cup, the Chubby Hubby, if you will, of entertainment. Whoever came up with this idea is a brilliant visionary. And this wasn't a "You-know-what-would-be-cool?"-passing-drunk idea. This IS a followed through event, even down to the poster artwork.

The Jim Rose Circus Sideshow (pictured above) is performing with the legendary wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts tonight night at DNA Lounge in San Francisco.

The description of the show goes as this:

Who's the toughest? Jake "The Snake" Roberts or a CIRCUS? Can wrestlers take the circus bumps? The wrestlers have to do dangerous circus stunts ... the circus has to take the wrestlers' best shots ... This will end up an all out fist fight. If you've seen the movie "The Wrestler," come witness how dark it can get LIVE. Featured guest Sinn Bohdi formerly known as Kazarny from the WWE.

Wrestlers are just as good at carnival barking as sideshow barkers, so the buildup of each act should be just as good as the act itself.

I'm not sure how this marriage between the two types of entertainment happened but it may have been inspired by special guest, Sinn Bohdi, a sideshow entertainer who was also known as Kazarny from the WWE. One of his promo videos features Petey, aka Poobah (one of the original munchkins from the Wizard of Oz) of Ward Hall's Sideshow.

This man has figured out live entertainment and made it his own.
