Perhaps you've visited a wax museum to see the (somewhat creepy) likeness of a celebrity. Or maybe you've wondered if we have the technology to build a robot in the image of a celebrity.

If you're still not satisfied and you actually want a celebrity-type at your house, consider celebrity impersonators. They are supposed to look and sound like the real thing. Sometimes they pull it off. Sometimes they do not. If you've ever made a list of the famous people you'd invite to dinner, then start setting the table because they're available for hire.

First, take a gander at the winners of this year's Reel Awards. The show, which took place this past May, honoring the best impersonators in the world, gave top nods to Brent Mendenhall, a George W. Bush impersonator, and to Dawn Behrens, an Anna Nicole Smith look-alike.

If you're interested in hanging out with impersonators locally, just do a quick search. There are so many of them all over the country looking for work, they'd love to hear from you.

We easily found a bunch who look kind of like a few hot celebrities (if you squint, you can't tell the difference), here's a good list to choose from. We wonder about the people who want to invite Alan Alda over for supper but -- hey -- it's your dinner party:
Bruce Willis, Alan Alda, John Travolta, Brad and Jennifer, Drew Barrymore, Danny DeVito, David Bowie, Tom Selleck

The following people are guys and girls who you might not be at the top of your list but now that you think about it, it would probably be pretty awesome to hang out with these celebrities:
Norm, Cliff and Sam of Cheers, Chelsey Clinton, John Goodman, Jason Alexander, WC Fields, Billy Ray Cyrus, Crocodile Dundee, Marcia Clark, Michael J. Fox

And this last group is a collection of celebrity look alikes who could probably pass for the real thing in most situations. Let's just hope they all have the same talents, personalities or senses of humor to go along with that look:
Rosanne Barr, Tim Allen, Weird Al Yankovic, Prince, Michael Jackson, Reba McIntire, Angelina Jolie, Burt Reynolds, Kramer, Madonna

And of course, you can find many more people willing to act like someone else at your party if you pay them enough. It looks like the typical cost for a celebrity impresonators could run you anywhere from about $500 to sometimes as high as $1,500 or even more so choose carefully.
