Beer Pong, or Beirut as some call it, has been a hit at college parties for years now. Now that cups and ping pong balls are being set up in every local bar and backyard, it looks like the sport has gone main stream.

It used to be having some 12-ounce plastic cups, a few ping pong balls and a flat surface was enough to play the game, but not anymore. Beer pong tables are going hi-tech with dozens of websites selling them. You can even get one for your swimming pool. By the way, the Website Pong Along has some great photos of the 33 best homemade beer pong tables ever made.

If you'd rather use your credit card than your hands, here are some helpful links:

Beer-Pong-Tables has some great designs for you to pick from. You can use the football grid iron, the moon, or get it blank and customize it yourself. There is even a cup holder for your water, to wash your balls off. (stop laughing!)

Pongalong is the table that you can bring anywhere. It even has a handle for carrying. At $99, it is one of the cheaper professional models on the market.

After getting your table and having mastered the game maybe you want to go professional. The World Series of Beer Pong takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The next event is in January of 2010 with over $50,000 in prizes. You can still sign up your team on their Web site.

In case you don't think Beer Pong is for everyone, just ask a Golden Girl. Betty White challenged Jimmy Fallon to a game on his TV Show. Enjoy!
