No one holds it against you that you want to enjoy a cocktail and still complain about the heat and humidity -- like anyone else in the summer time. And maybe you don't have your own patio at home, but there must be somewhere you sip your booze in the outdoors.
Because Beer Gardens Make The World Go 'Round
The Germans gave us the Beer Garden. They developed the concept back in the 19th century when beer was so important in Germany that the king even made decrees about how and when it should be made.

Beer gardens have even developed into great alternatives to the backyard barbecue. If you don't have a grill or a backyard, you can head to the beer garden, sit outside with your friends and enjoy foods that you might have grilled up yourself. It's a little like finding the beer-drinking family you never knew you had.

Because Roof Top Bars Give You A Better View
Roof top bars tend to be at the trendier end of the outdoor-drinking spectrum but they're still fabulous places to have a drink and enjoy the summer weather.
If you live in a city filled with skyscrapers, you'll find several roof top spots -- and they'll be way up there, offering some impressive views of your city. The drinks might be a little more expensive but all your drunken photos will be the envy of your friends (who didn't do happy hour with you).
But if you live in a smaller town, roof top bars are still to be found. In fact, The Wyvern Hotel's Lulu Restaurant in Punta Gorda, Florida offers a rooftop for those wanting sky high service. The bar is near the roof top pool so make sure that you don't have too many cocktails -- and there's no running by the pool either!

Because Patio Seating Is The Place To Be
Even just for those looking to dine, patio seating is the sh*t. You get your own table, generally covered by an outdoor umbrella, a waiter or waitress to bring you drinks and you still get the outdoors -- or whatever you can find of it from the patio.
The great thing about patio seating is that you can find it almost anywhere. All you need to do is ask a few of your friends and inevitably someone knows where to go for outdoor seating. Several restaurants offer it -- but you may have to order at least a little food off the menu to earn the seating.
Of course, patio seating, like all outdoor venues, is generally only open in the spring and summer -- unless you live in a warmer climate, of course. But this may be one of the biggest motivations behind outdoor seating: we only have so many months to do it so we better do it now. It's a rare thing so we love it and admire it -- the way we do with diamonds. Enjoy it while you can and before it's too cold.
