Filling sandbags to hold back flood waters is back breaking work and with that much flooding, that's a lot of sandbags. Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker turned to beer drinkers to get the bags filled. The politician promised that if these brave men and women worked around the clock, he would buy each of them a beer.
Well it looks like the mayor's wallet is gonna be safe. He's making good on the promise with the help of a New Orleans beer company. The Dixie Brewing Company is so grateful for surviving Katrina, that they decided to return the Karma. The popular brewery is shipping 24,000 beers across the country to their brothers in tragedy. Each resident will receive a free ticket for a can of cold beer.
