Many celebrity hot spots have been plagued with some interesting but shameful celeb activities. Even when they hang at the lesser-known places, some stars still manage to get into trouble. From Britney Spears to Josh Brolin, these celebs know how to really cause a scene.
If you didn't catch a glimpse, take a look at our list of some of the most infamous scenes of celeb shame -- a few more infamous bars and nightclubs around the country.
Las Vegas, Nevada
This nightclub located inside of Caesar's Palace is a magnet for bad girl behavior, it seems. Back on New Year's Eve 2007, the yet-to-be-completely-corrupted Britney Spears passed out. She made it only an hour into 2007 before succumbing to her "excitement" and had to be escorted out. A huge band of security guards made it impossible for anyone to get a picture of the ailing pop star.
Controversy continues at Pure, too. In August of this year, Tila Tequila's girlfriend-at-the-time Courtenay Semel (daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel) got rough with a security guard. It appears that Ms. Semel used some very inappropriate and offensive language with security resulting in her being handcuffed. This made her irate and she hit the man in the back of the head. The hullabaloo resulted in a lawsuit.
Stray Cat Bar
Shreveport, Louisiana
While filming "W.", Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Wright and five co-workers arrived at the Stray Cat Bar to blow off some steam. But one thing led to another and pretty soon the whole gang erupted into a giant bar fight. Police were called in and Brolin, Wright and all their buddies were arrested. They all posted bail and were able to return to work not too long after their brawl.
The bar continues to pop up on the news as the media just won't let this bar fight business go. People Magazine asked Brolin about the incident in September as the media tour for his new film was beginning. Brolin insisted that he hadn't done anything wrong when he was arrested back in Shreveport. But whether he did or didn't, he'll need to go back in December when he is arraigned.
Moonshadows RestaurantMalibu, California
Although it happened back in 2006, few have forgotten the Mel Gibson drunk-driving debacle. Gibson was pulled over by Malibu police in the early morning hours of July 28, 2006. The Mad Max star gave the arresting officer a tongue lashing and it didn't stop until he'd managed to insult pretty much every human being walking the planet. Oh, and one of the officers got it all on tape.
But this whole episode began blooming at Moonshadows Restaurant in Malibu -- a town that Gibson claimed to own in his drunken rampage. From the pictures that TMZ managed to get a hold of, it looks like a fun place. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and a pretty decent wine menu. If someone has to get arrested for DUI and then go to rehab, this might be one of the best places to start the cycle.
Club Dream
Atlanta, Georgia
Jermaine Dupri was hosting an event at this club in early August, 2008. Sean "Diddy" Combs and Usher attended and partied into the early hours until a gunman opened fire in the club shooting a security guard (they always seem to be involved in these incidents) and sending panicked crowds running for the doors. Police were called but no arrests were made and the security guard only suffered a minor flesh wound.
Reports from the local police confirmed that violence broke out when guests were being charged extra to get into the VIP area with the celebs. In this case, the celebs were not at fault -- it was the club doing the shameful deed. But they were close enough to be associated with this little incident. And perhaps violence would never have erupted if they hadn't been so darn famous.
