Many major metropolitan cities have so many culinary choices, it may be difficult to just pick one restaurant. But a recent trend has emerged allowing dining enthusiasts to try numerous restaurants in a single tour within one city's limits.
Chicago Dine-Around is one of these "progressive dining tours" which invites groups of people to tour three different Chicagoland area restaurants. Guests enjoy hors d'oeuvres at the first restaurant, a main course at the second and dessert at the third. The tour only goes to the most upscale restaurants and, while being chauffeured through the city in a luxury bus, guests also have the opportunity to see the sites. Groups who reserve can also throw in some entertainment with the Dine-Around A Show option.
Similar set ups can be found across the country as well.
If you're in Hawaii, try Hawaii Food Tours, a dining tour which offers three different themes to those interested. Their most popular Hole-In-The-Wall tour brings diners to several hidden spots and exotic cuisines all over the Honolulu. For those more interested in fine dining, the Gourmet Trilogy tour treats guests to courses at three different fine-dining establishments each paired with a wine.
In one of the most delicious cities, Foods of New York Tours also offers a few different options to those wanting to taste a variety of foods around the city. Groups can reserve tours around Greenwich Village, Chelsea Market & the Meatpacking District, SoHo and Chinatown. Or diners may go for the more focused adventure of sushi tasting. Each tour is a walking tour allowing tourists to work off some of their culinary discoveries.
On a smaller scale, Seattle also has a walking tour offered by Chinatown Discovery Tours. The tour takes guests through Seattle's Chinatown to see the sites and taste the delicious food at a few restaurants.
