Check real deals web sites. In my area there are countless web sites providing deals on dining. Some of the sites charge for their service, but many do not. I like the sites where you pay then print out the deal at home. If you are going out why not save.

Only one city on the west coast. Do you know how many people live in CA alone? Do you know how large the west coast is? We probably have more restaurants than all of the mid-west!
How about San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle? These are majorly large American cities.

On Tuesdays (In our area) Lone Star & TGIFridays has "Kids eat free", and TGIFridays is Wednesdays, too. 2 children per 1 adult. So I take the kids to TGIFridays and it costs approx. $10. That way, I could actually afford to buy them the $2 Dirt pie for dessert.

This is excellent advice. Frugality doesn't mean not being able to enjoy a meal out. It just doesn't have to be expensive. Taco Bell is always an inexpensive treat. CASH! Piles of cold hard cash is the best way to weather the current economic situation. One of the best books you'll ever find about finance is "How to Become Filthy Rich on Your Current Income" at www.how-to-become-rich.com. If people read books like this one we wouldn’t have the current situation we do.

Want to eat cheap - go Chinese! For less than $10.00 I can get enough good food to feed at least 3 people - 4 if we don't gorge ourselves.

Thank You Karen!! Take the $10.00/$15.00 and cook @ home! probably w/ leftovers most of the people I know have a vcr, dvd, watch a movie, make popcorn, have a glass of wine or whatever..saves on gas, ticket prices, tips, etc.where there is a will there is a way....everyone (that I know) are feeling the crunch, some near losing thier house...I have older daughters & have been as they say preaching to them to cook @ home, both have 4 kids, they used to drive thru McDonalds and spend Way too much! Now I only hope they listened to me.
