3. Vincent's Pizza Park
Vincent's popped up in Pittsburgh in the 1950's and has steadily gained fame around town. While you may be paying more for a "Vinnie Pie" than for pizza elsewhere, when you finish eating, you will have leftovers for days. And, in the end, you're still getting pizza so your definitely not emptying your change purse for a bite to eat.

2. Armstrong's
The dining room at Armstrong's generally fills up with frugal families who know they can get a good deal on a full family meal. And they'll probably take home the leftovers and continue eating for a few days. The chefs cook up their pastas, salads and more with quality ingredients but they certainly don't skimp on the portions.

1. Original Hot Dog Shops
If you don't think of a hot dog as a meal, you've never been to Original Hot Dog Shops or "The O." A few bucks gets you a couple hot dogs and you can pile gobs of chili, onions or whatever your heart desires on top. Spend a little extra change for some amazing fries that promise to fill you up.

3. Hemingway's Cafe
The drinks at this college hangout are more than affordable but you can also get a deal on the menu if you come for lunch before 11:45 am or stay for dinner after 9:00 pm. Get yourself a cheap pint of beer, or a few, and sit back to enjoy whatever's playing on the TV.

1. Lava Lounge
When you step inside Lava Lounge, expect to find some interesting deals, including $1.50 for a glass of wine -- from a box. Mojitos, margaritas, martinis and appletinis pop up on the specials menu occasionally for under $5.
