Next time you drop some money into the jukebox, think very carefully about what song you choose to play. The jukebox is watching you.

Ecast has been providing the latest in jukebox technology. You may have already seen their fancy touch screens on the wall of your local watering hole. Patrons generally like these broadband set-ups because they can search for songs over a broadband connection and download whatever their heart desires. But there's something extra: they're making a list of the stuff you play.

Ecast runs a monthly report, in fact, all based on the music played on their products. The report is called BarPulse and it found that Metallica was a big player in bars for the month of September. Metallica fans packed bars all over the country and insisted on playing multiple songs from the new album "Death Magnet". Their song "The Day That Never Comes" came in at the number one chosen song on Ecast jukeboxes while many others filled the top ten. Perhaps these fans are just that excited to have a new Metallica album after five years of silence from the band.

Ne-Yo's "Miss Independent" and "Closer" came in at number two & number ten on the list, Kanye West's "Love Lockdown made the list and Buck Cherry got on the list with "Too Drunk" -- a very appropriately titled song for a bar setting.

Check out the full top-ten list:
1. "The Day That Never Comes" by Metallica
2. "Miss Independent" by Ne-Yo
3. "The Unforgiven III" by Metallica
4. "Too Drunk" by Buckcherry
5. "Love Lockdown" by Kanye West
6. "All Nightmare Long" by Metallica
7. "That Was Just Your Life" by Metallica
8. "Cyanide" by Metallica
9. "Broken, Beat & Scarred" by Metallica
10. "Closer" by Ne-Yo

Of course, the list for October is yet to be determined. You can find out what songs have been chosen in what cities by going to the music content portion of their site. If you think something's being overlooked, find a jukebox and play something you like!
