Tonight's the night for the big Presidential debate rematch in Nashville and the debate watching party trend continues to grow. More and more NYC bars, restaurants and stores are hosting watching parties. On the menu tonight is a town hall-style debate where the candidates answer average voters' questions. Well, answer is a strong word -- address or acknowledge may be more appropriate. It will be interesting to see a) how the candidates stay focused on the question without out-braceleting each other and b) if any real questions get asked.
Drinking game idea: Take a shot after every time "main street" is mentioned. Give two shots every time "maverick" is mentioned from either candidate. Chug a whole beer, when any references to Ayers are made and assign someone to chug a beer if any comparisons are made between Patrick Deval and Senator Obama in regards to hopeful campaign rhetoric and post-election performance issues.
Here's the rundown of the more promising spots to watch the 'Clashville in Nashville.' By the way, it seems Obama fans are more organized when it comes to throwing parties. It must be the optimism.
