San Pelligrino released their annual list of the World's 50 Best Restaurants. (Would you like sparkling or flat with that list?)The 2008 list isn't much different than the 2007 slate and some bloggers want to see a list shake-up.
I can't disagree.
The U.S. entries in the list are all focused in NYC, Chicago and the Bay Area. There are a couple of French guys in Vegas and myself that could argue Sin City provides some of the best plates on the planet. And where are all the West Coast players in LA?
Fearing's in Dallas gives 'em all a run for their money, but at the rate this list is going, it may be a long time before Chef Dean Fearing can claim a spot.
U.S. entries on the list:
#5 The French Laundry
#6 Per Se
#17 Jean Georges
#20 Le Bernardin
#21 Alinea
#37 Chez Panisse
#38 Charlie Trotter's
#41 Restaurant Daniel
